We are looking for a Dental Assistant for one of our Clinics in Dubai
JOB SUMMARY
The Dental Assistant performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties, and often works chair-side as dentists examine and treat patients. They make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing patients for dental work.
Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials and assisting with dental procedures.
Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary
Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
Providing great patient care.
Recording treatment information in patient records.
Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.
Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
To adhere to the safety norms of GMC Healthcare LLC and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
To participate and contribute to the departmental quality initiatives.
To follow the GMC Healthcare LLC policies and procedures.
To participate in quality improvement.
Demonstrate the components of the "Caring for Health" Values statement.
To perform tasks as and when assigned by the Head of the Department
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
Certificate or associate degree in accredited dental assistance.
Active DHA License
High school diploma or equivalent.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Consistently professional appearance.
Able to provide great patient care.
